The Bay Path University Women’s Basketball Team is holding their 3rd Annual 5k Run/Walk

When: Spring 2015

Where: Forest Park, 302 Sumner Ave, Springfield, MA 

Registation: 9am

Start time: 10am

The Run/Walk is in memory of 3 amazing people:

 Brielle Laplante was a middle school student at East Longmeadow.  She battled cancer since the age of 4.  She was a wonderful girl who was positive and always smiling despite her lifelong struggle.  She was an avid basketball fan.   

Nicholas Baio was a sixth grader at Birchland Park Middle School. He was an active member of the Boys Scouts. He suffered a brain AVM and passed away on September 15, 2012. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Thomas J O’Connor Animal Shelter in Nicholas’ name.

 Stacey Dastoli was a 27-year-old Social Worker with the Department of Children and Families. In September of 2012 the Department honored her with the Commissioner’s Pride and Performance award for her outstanding work to the children and families of Springfield, MA. Stacey positively impacted the lives of so very many. Her life was taken unexpectedly on December 16, 2012 when she was involved in a fatal car crash. Stacey epitomized the meaning of social work. A portion of the proceeds will be dontated to Connecticut Children's Medical Center in memory of Stacey.
