ATHLETIC TRAINING
The athletic trainer works with the coaching staff to ensure the safety of the student-athlete during athletic participation. The athletic trainer works to prevent, evaluate, and rehabilitate athletic injuries and acts as a liaison between health services, the team physician, coaches, administrators, and student-athletes.
The athletic training room is located in Breck Fitness Center, lower level.

Danielle Brunelle is in her 12th year as Bay Path College's Head Athletic Trainer. She is experienced in the recognition, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. She supervises Springfield College Athletic Training Students, work-study students and serves as a co-advisor to Bay Path's Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC).
Danielle is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), licensed in the state of Massachusetts and is a certified American Heart Association instructor in BLS Healthcare Provider, Heartsaver CPR, AED and First Aid for the adult, child and infant.
Danielle graduated from Springfield College in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Sports Psychology and holds a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from American International College in 1999.

Dr. Martinez-Silvestrini is the Team Physician for Bay Path College Athletics.
Dr. Martinez-Silvestrini joins the Wildcats this year by way of Baystate Medical Practices. A graduate of the University of Puerto in San Juan, Dr. Martinez-Silvestrini specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehab - Sports Medicine Department.
He completed his Fellowhips in Sports Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Martinez-Silvestrini is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
He is an Outpatient Medical Director for Baystate Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and an Assistant clinical Professor at Tufts University. Dr. Martinez-Silvestrini has a Specialty Interest in Musculoskeletal Injuries, Pain Management and Sports Medicine.
