  • Wildcats Conclude Regular Season Shutting Down Dean

    LONGMEADOW, Mass.— Bay Path hosted Dean College in a postponed New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) matchup despite the Bulldogs still being the home school in softball action today. The Wildcats managed to shut-down the Bulldogs 9-0 in a five inning opener and 10-1 in the closing game concluding their regular season play with 11-5 conference record and 20-14 overall. Dean falls to 8-26 on the season and 3-13 in the NECC. At the conclusion of the Newbury and Mitchell games tomorrow the NECC office will release the final Tournament pairings; currently Bay Path is 3rd in the softball standings. Sophomore hurler Felicia Gaillardetz (Londonderry, N.H.) earned both victories including the shut-out in the opening game. In the opener, she only gave up three hits and fanned four batters. In the second game, Gaillardetz only allowed one run on eight hits; striking out seven Bulldogs.

    Wildcats Honor Lone Senior Vallee Along with Elms’ Senior Olszewski LONGMEADOW, Mass.— Bay Path split with Elms College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) softball action today during senior day festivities. Sophomore hurler Felicia Gaillardetz (Londonderry, N.H.) earned the shut-out in the opener leading the Wildcats to a 5-0 victory, the Blazers came back to take the nightcap 7-0 for the split on the day.
  • Wildcats Chomp Gators taking both games of the Double Header Action

    LONGMEADOW, Mass.— The Wildcats of Bay Path shut down the Gators of Pine Manor in both game of the regional NCAA III softball action pulling the run rule in both games taking the opener 14-2 and shutting them down 13-0 in the nightcap both games going only five innings. The Wildcats are now 17-13 overall, while Pine Manor falls to 0-20 in the season. Pitching duo Junior Maddie Goodhart (Pawtucket, R.I.) and freshman Kayla Peck (Clifton, N.J.) both tossed the victories. Peck picked up her second collegiate shut-out, while also having a stellar performance at bat going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Goodhart also had a great second game performance at the plate going 2-for-2 with three RBI.
  • Wildcats Shut-Out Mountaineers in Conference Double Header

    LONGMEADOW, Mass.—Bay Path University hosted Southern Vermont in another New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) double header today sweeping the Mountaineers 7-0 in both games. Bay Path is now 13-11 overall and 6-2 in NECC play, Southern Vermont is now 1-23 on the season and 1-9 in conference play. Senior shortstop Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn.) led the way in the opener going 4-for-4 with two runs and four RBI. Both pitchers sophomore Felicia Gaillardetz (Londonderry, N.H) and junior closer Madison Goodhart (Pawtucket, R.I.) earned shut-outs today going the distance.
  • Wildcats Sweep Nighthawks in NECC Softball Action

    LONGMEADOW, Mass.—Bay Path University hosted Newbury College in another New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) double header today sweeping the Nighthawks 6-3 in the opener and 9-8 in game two of the series.  Bay Path is now back to .500 at 11-11 overall and 4-2 in the NECC, Newbury falls to 8-12 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.  Senior shortstop Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn.) and sophomore infielder Taylor Feraco (Oxford, Mass.) both homered in the first game, while sophomore hurler Felicia Gaillardetz (Londonderry, N.H.) earned both a save in the opener and a win in the nightcap tossing eight innings.
  • Bay Path Falls to Becker in NECC Conference Double Header Action

    LONGMEADOW, Mass.—Bay Path University hosted Becker College in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) double header today falling 6-1 in the opener and 4-1 in the nightcap in Division III softball action.  Becker is now 6-8 on the season and 4-0 in conference play, while Bay Path falls to 9-11 overall and 2-2 in the NECC. Four Wildcats hit safely on the day including senior shortstop Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn.), junior centerfielder Jai Ruiz (Hadley, Mass.), sophomore catcher Lilly West (Goshen, Mass.) and junior infielder Katrina Peck (Newington, Conn.).
  • Wildcats Drop Two to Blue Jays

    LONGMEADOW, Mass.- Bay Path hosted the University of Saint Joseph in an NCAA Division III regional softball double header and fell 8-2 in the opener and 9-6 in the nightcap. Senior shortstop Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn.) led the Wildcats going 5-for-8 with three runs on the day including a double and a triple.
  • Wildcats Split in Home Opener with the Pilgrims

    LONGMEADOW, Mass.—Bay Path University opened up the home stand with a split against the Pilgrims of New England College taking the opener 3-2 and falling 13-5 in the nightcap. Leading the way for the Wildcats was senior short stop Lauren Vallee (Bristol, Conn.) going 4-for-7 on the day with four runs including three doubles and one triple. Freshman outfielder Cameille Keith (Pawtucket, R.I.) led the Wildcats in RBI with going 2-for-6 with two RBI and two runs.
