Coach Smith is a 1985 graduate of St. John Fisher College with a
B.A. in Psychology. He completed his M.Ed in Sport Management from
Springfield College in 1988. He became the 1st softball coach in
1992 and has nearly a 100 victories since 1998 when the team became
a NCAA member. Coach Smith has been a member of the NCAA New
England Region Softball Ranking Committee since 1996, before that
he was member of the New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches
Association (NEISCA) ranking committee for 3 years. He is also an
active member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA)
and NEISCA. Coach Smith lives in Longmeadow with his wife Sara and
two children Katherine and Matthew.

most talented team in recent years. Each year common team goals are
simple and direct as a program; have some fun, finish with a
winning record, make the conference tournament and find a winning
and positive balance between the academic and athletic experience."
Coach Nault is starting his 7th year as Assistant Coach and is in charge of pitchers and outfielders. His 20 years of coaching experience has proven to continually provide quality development for our players and this program. Coach Nault is a certified ASA Silver-Level coach and has previous high school-level experience. For seven years he was the West team coach for the Massachusetts Bay State Games. Coach Nault is also the Head Coach of the Club Ice Hockey team.
