Nashua, NH – Senior Tonisha Tate (Lynn, Mass.) notched a game high 19 points going 7 of 10 from the floor and added four steals and five rebounds in just nine minutes of action and every player reached the scoring column as the Daniel Webster College women's basketball team ran their winning streak to 15 with a 90-24 victory over Bay Path College in a New England Collegiate Conference matchup Saturday at the Mario Vagge Gymnasium.
Senior Alyssa Regan (Salem, N.H.) notched a double double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in 16 minutes and Kirsten Murphy (Woodstock, Vt.) scored 14 and added five boards as the Eagles (16-2) remained perfect in conference play improving to 9-0 remaining tied with Lesley University for first place in the NECC standings.
Vanessa Bosques (N. Windham, Conn.) chipped in with nine points for the Eagles, tying her with Jen Krawczyk '99 for fourth place on the Eagle all-time career-scoring list at 1,017 apiece. Alycia Gervais (Windham, Conn.), Sarah Paternostro (Glastonbury, Conn.) and rookie Jennifer Fredericks (Beacon Falls, Conn.) added seven points each.
Sophomore Ariel Guzman (Yonkers, N.Y.) dished off a game high five assists, adding five points and two steals.
The Eagles never trailed in holding Bay Path to just five points over the opening 14:22 in building a 42-5 lead and shot 54-percent in the opening frame to take a 52-14 lead into the half.
The lead built to 50 as DWC held Bay Path scoreless over the opening five minutes of the second.
DWC would finish with a 49-27 advantage on the boards including 21-6 on the offensive glass and were aided by 34 Wildcat turnovers.
The Wildcats return to action on Thursday when they visit Wheelock College in a NECC matchup beginning at 5:00 p.m.
