Lesley, Mitchell Top NECC Women's Soccer Coaches Poll

Lesley College and Mitchell College placed one-two atop the NECC women's soccer coaches poll in a vote conducted by the league's coaches. Lesley earned 96 points and received seven first place votes while Mitchell placed second with 90 points and three first place votes.

The Lynx return nine starters from a squad that was unbeaten in NECC conference play last year, including two of the league's top freshmen from a year ago in Veronica Halen and NECC All-Tournament Team selection Jackee Sanchez.

The Mariners return 16 letterwinners from a team that captured the 2010 NECC Championship and made the school's first appearance in the NCAA Championship. A veteran team with eight seniors on the roster, Mitchell will be led by NECC Player of the Year Nikki Hoxie on the offensive end and all-conference goalie Kaylee Woodford on the defensive side.
