In a nail-biting season opener held at Pieri Gymnasium in Franklin, MA, Bay Path University emerged victorious against Dean College with a gripping 3-2 win on August 29, 2025. The match attracted a crowd of 121 spectators, witnessing a fierce competition that extended over two hours.

Bay Path, starting their season with intent, fought back after dropping the first two sets to Dean. The home side, boasting a strong start, secured the initial sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-23. However, Bay Path, undeterred, rallied in the subsequent sets, displaying remarkable resilience to clinch the match with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 15-13.

The match was marked by outstanding individual performances. Anastasiya Tsetsko of Bay Path led the charge, contributing a match-high 18 kills from 38 total attempts, hitting an impressive .368, while also scoring three aces. Her efforts were well-supported by Asja Kazic, who added nine kills and equally served three aces.

On Dean's side, standout performances were seen from Caitlin Cooper and Chloe DeMaio, who recorded eight and nine kills, respectively. Emma Siniscalchi's versatile play was also noteworthy, providing significant contributions both on the attacks with four kills on the court and at the serve line with five aces.

Both teams showed competitive spirit throughout the contest.
