New Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
Tiffany Manzi is beginning her first year as the new head coach of the Lacrosse Team which will be elevated to varsity status beginning fall of 2012. The athletics department has hired Manzi to help transition the program from it's current state at the club level into the programs debut season in Spring 2013 as the 8th varsity sports offered at Bay Path College.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Tiffany into our staff," says Director of Athletics Steve Smith. "She has a great background in the sport and the energy needed to make the transition a smooth one for the players. You can feel the excitement as the players are eager to begin the season."
Previous to Bay Path College, Manzi was the Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at American International College.
Manzi
is a 2009 graduate of Quinnipiac University and spent her four
years there as a member of the women's lacrosse team. She
finished her career with the Bobcats with 114 goals and 38
assists for 152 career points. Manzi was in the top five on her
team in scoring all four season and led her team in points
during her junior season with 49.
Manzi served as team captain during her junior and senior seasons.
Over her career at Quinnipiac she was a three time All-NEC
first team nomination, a member of the IWLCA All-academic team
in '09, the NEC Player of the year '08, and the NEC Rookie of
the Year '06.
A native of Agawam, Mass., Manzi played four years of women's lacrosse and soccer at Agawam High School. She was named an All-American for lacrosse during her senior year and was a first team All-Western Mass selection all four years.
