Daniel Webster Chosen as Favorite in NECC Field Hockey Coaches Poll

Daniel Webster College has been chosen to finish at the top of the 2011 NECC field hockey standings in a vote by the league's coaches. New members Anna Maria College and Regis College are two of the seven institutions that will compete for the Conference title.

Becker College was picked to finish second with 41 points and one first place vote. The Hawks will be led by new head coach and former NECC Goalie of the Year Ciara Lawrence and on the field by two time NECC Player of the Year Victoria Sirchia returns for her final season.

Wheelock garnered 33 points and one first place vote. Leading the Wildcats will be a pair of 2010 all-conference performers, junior forward Despina Savvoulides and junior back Alanna Pihl.
