"Wildcats" Take Down "Blue Jays" 3-0 In Volleyball Action

In an emphatic return to winning form, Bay Path University swept past Saint Joseph (CT) in a decisive three-set match on October 16, 2025, at the James A. Calhoun Gym in West Hartford, Connecticut. The match concluded in just an hour and 15 minutes, with Bay Path securing all sets comfortably at 25-15, 25-21, and 25-21. This victory improved Bay Path's record to 8-6, while Saint Joseph fell to 4-17 overall and 2-4 in the Great North Conference.

Bay Path's offensive powerhouse, Anastasiya Tsetsko, led the charge with a standout performance, registering 17 kills with an impressive hitting percentage of .560. She was ably supported by Janaye Cunningham, who contributed five kills at a .500 hitting efficiency. The team collectively maintained a strong hitting percentage of .315, highlighting their offensive dominance throughout the match. Asja Kazic was also instrumental, adding nine kills and showing prowess in serving with four aces.

Defensively, the visitors were robust, making 43 digs, with Shanayah StPhard prominently contributing 20. Their disciplined play also reflected in their blocking game, recording three solo blocks and six block assists, notably from Robyn Kennedy and Mckenzie Labier.

On the other side of the net, Saint Joseph struggled to assert themselves. Shaye Harris was their leading attacker with eight kills but suffered a low hitting percentage of .026 due to seven errors. The team struggled to find consistency, ending with a .078 hitting percentage. While Gabriella Wanner facilitated the play with 18 assists, efforts to capitalize were thwarted by Bay Path's solid defense. The home team did showcase moments of serving strength, amassing nine service aces, with Emilia Dugas acing three times.
