Longmeadow, MA-
On April 16, 2025, Bay Path softball secured a decisive 10-2 win over Lesley on their home field, improving their record to 14-12. Lesley, now 3-13, struggled to keep pace with Bay Path's offensive prowess, which was on full display during the matchup.

The game commenced with Lesley taking an early lead in the first inning when L. Martin hit a double, driving in K. Sorensen for the opening run. However, Bay Path quickly responded in the bottom of the first inning. A series of wild pitches allowed M. Tessmer to score, leveling the game at 1-1. A crucial fielder's choice by A. Morrison, coupled with a defensive error, enabled Bay Path to capitalize further, bringing the score to 3-1.

Lesley managed to close the gap in the third inning with K. Sorensen scoring on a 1b error, but that was the last time they crossed home plate. Bay Path took control in the fourth inning, widening the gap with a five-run surge. A walk by M. Sunderland and another by S. Verrengia set the stage for A. Morrison's three-RBI double, pushing the lead to 7-2.

Bay Path continued their offensive onslaught in the fifth inning, adding two more runs to their tally. M. Tessmer's walk and subsequent advancement allowed Y. Badillo to score, followed by a groundout RBI from M. Sunderland, which saw J. Harrigan crossing the plate for the final run, sealing the game at 10-2. Bay Path's K. Kerstetter pitched a complete game, allowing six hits and two runs, only one of which was earned, while striking out two. Lesley's pitchers E. Hodgkins and I. Moscoso struggled against Bay Path's lineup, conceding a combined 10 runs and seven walks.

A. Morrison was the standout performer for Bay Path, contributing significantly with four RBIs. The game, officiated by umpires Ed Wojtowicz and Richard Wilkison, lasted 1 hour and 32 minutes and was attended by 50 spectators.
