Bay Path set an aggressive tone early on by scoring six runs in the first inning. This initial onslaught was spearheaded by standout performances from players like Caroline Austin and Madison Sunderland, who both played pivotal roles in putting runs on the board. Austin had a notable game, notching two hits and securing an RBI. Meanwhile, Sunderland's contribution was significant with two hits and two RBIs, further enlarging Bay Path's lead.
Across five innings, Bay Path relentlessly pushed their advantage, adding to their tally in each frame. The team capitalized on Fisher's pitching woes, drawing a total of 15 walks and benefiting from precise hits, including doubles from Madisyn Vera and Austin.
Fisher College struggled at both ends of play. Offensively, they could only muster two hits throughout the game, one by C. J and another by A. Fari, both of whom were unable to translate these hits into runs. Pitcher A. Detre faced a tough outing, allowing 13 runs on eight hits and dealing with four hit-by-pitches.
In contrast, Bay Path's pitching duo, Kaitlyn Kerstetter and Alyssa Kreischer, combined for a stellar performance, silencing Fisher's lineup with Kerstetter delivering three perfect innings with four strikeouts. Kreischer maintained the pressure, allowing only two hits through two innings, effectively stifling any hopes Fisher College had to mount a comeback.
The game concluded after five innings with a decisive Bay Path victory, presenting a stark contrast in strategy execution and discipline. Despite the absence of any attendees, as indicated by the attendance record, the match was a spectacle of softball prowess from Bay Path, who showcased their dominant style while extending Fisher College's winless streak to 15 games.
