Day 2 Ends with 8-0 Loss to Chestnut Hill
Chestnut Hill College used a steady stream of timely hitting and Bay Path miscues to pull away for an 8–0 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday evening (March 3, 2026) at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex.
After a scoreless first, Chestnut Hill broke through in the second inning when Hailey Kober lined an RBI single to center to bring home Devin Warner for the game's first run. Bay Path pitcher Alyssa Kreischer kept the Wildcats within striking distance early, but the Griffins created separation in the fourth with a three-run frame. Jenn Pokropinski sparked the inning with an RBI double to score Kayla Childress, and Chestnut Hill added two more runs as Bay Path committed errors that extended the inning and put additional runners across.
The decisive push came in the fifth, when Chestnut Hill plated four more. Kober drove in another run on a groundout, and the Griffins capitalized on more Bay Path defensive mistakes before Sabrina Martin's RBI single capped the outburst. In all, Bay Path was charged with six errors, and Chestnut Hill scored six of its eight runs unearned.
In the circle, Belle Tetreault was in command for Chestnut Hill, throwing a complete-game five-hitter in the shortened contest: 5.0 innings, two hits, no runs, three walks, and two strikeouts. Bay Path managed just two hits—one each from Tristan Perez and Taylor Moreau—and left six runners on base.
Alyssa Kreischer took the loss for Bay Path, allowing four runs (two earned) over 4.0 innings, while Madison Sunderland surrendered four runs (all unearned) in 0.2 innings of relief as the Griffins finished with nine hits. Warner led Chestnut Hill by going 2-for-2 with two runs scored, while Pokropinski went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and two runs. Childress added a triple and scored twice, and Kober drove in two runs as part of the Griffins' balanced attack.
