Bay Path Defeats Elms in Game 15-1

 Bay Path explodes for six-run sixth, rolls past Elms 15–1

 CHICOPEE, Mass. (March 25, 2026)  — Bay Path piled up 14 hits and took advantage of seven Elms errors to earn a 15–1 win Wednesday afternoon at Condon Field, breaking the game open with a nine-run sixth inning.

Bay Path set the tone immediately in the top of the first. After Caroline Austin came around to score the opener,  Madison Tessmer delivered an RBI double that also turned into extra bases on a right-field miscue.  Madison Sunderland followed with an RBI single, and Jackie Phillips added another run-scoring hit to make it  3–0.

Bay Path added to the lead in the third when Jenna Boudreau  ripped an RBI double to left-center to push the margin to  4–0. Two more runs came home in the fifth—one on  Eliana Tena's RBI groundout and another on a passed ball—extending the advantage to  6–0  heading to the final inning.

The sixth inning turned into a decisive rally. Bay Path sent a wave of baserunners to the plate, scoring nine runs, with multiple tallies coming after Elms defensive mistakes and a wild pitch.  Austin capped the outburst with a  two-run single , while Tessmer contributed another RBI double as Bay Path surged ahead 15–0.

Elms avoided the shutout in the bottom of the sixth when Kaelyn Zakaitis lined an RBI triple down the right-field line to score Caity Flynn , closing the scoring at 15–1.
