Bay Path Sweeps VT-State Johnson With a 15-1 Win
Bay Path rolled to a 15–1 win over Vermont State Johnson on March 28, 2026 at Smith Field in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, scoring in four straight innings and taking advantage of a string of defensive miscues to break the game open early.
Bay Path struck first in the bottom of the first. Madison Sunderland delivered an RBI single, and another run came home on an error in center to make it 1–0. Moments later, Taylor Moreau launched a two-run homer to left, pushing the lead to 3–0.
The hosts kept building in the second. A Madison Tessmer RBI groundout plated Allison Dattilo, then Sunderland added her biggest blow of the day with a solo homer to left-center, extending the margin to 5–0.
Bay Path effectively put the game away in the third with a four-run frame. Two runs scored when Yasmine Badillo reached on an error, Caroline Austin drew an RBI walk, and another run came in on a Vermont State error at first, making it 9–0.
Vermont State Johnson's only run came in the fourth. Kristie Zato scored when Audrey Tembr ripped an RBI triple to right field. It was the Badgers' lone hit of the game, and the run was unearned.
