Bay Path (11-12) used a relentless, take-what's-given approach at the plate to cruise to a 14-0 win over Fisher College (0-15) on Sunday afternoon, ending the game after five innings. The Wildcats struck early and never let up, scoring in every inning they batted and turning 13 walks plus timely extra-base hits into a 10-hit shutout.
How the game was decided
Bay Path effectively put the game away in the first inning, sending 10 hitters to the plate and building a 4-0 lead. The opening frame featured a hit-by-pitch RBI, a run-scoring single from Grace Ramsey, and two unearned runs aided by Fisher defensive miscues.
From there, Bay Path continued to add on:
- 2nd inning: three more runs to make it 7-0
- 3rd inning: Madison Sunderland launched her first homer for an 8-0 advantage
- 4th inning: a five-run outburst, highlighted by Sunderland's second home run—a three-run blast—pushed the margin to 14-0
With Bay Path up 14 after four, Fisher was unable to mount a response in the fifth, and the contest ended via the run rule.
Standout performances
Madison Sunderland powered the offense with two home runs and four RBIs, accounting for runs in both the third and fourth innings and delivering the biggest swings of the game.
Bay Path also got key production throughout the lineup:
- Jackie Phillips: 2-for-2 with two doubles and 2 RBIs, also drove in the game's first run via hit-by-pitch
- Ansley Morrison: reached repeatedly (2 hits, 1 walk) and scored three runs
- Madison Tessmer: contributed an RBI single and scored three times
- Caroline Austin: doubled and drove in a run, while also drawing a walk
Overall, Bay Path's discipline defined the day: 13 walks, 0 strikeouts, and consistent traffic on the bases.

Fisher's only two hits both came off the bat of Kaleigh Laidlaw, who went 2-for-2 with a double, providing the lone extra-base hit for the Falcons.
